Check This Out!

Jindal talks about principles!

Every time Bobby Jindal talks about working with the other party, but standing up for our priniciples at the same time I get chills. Is there really anyone else as smart as this man that could be running in 2012. Well, maybe Ben Stein. But he's not running is he? Bobby Jindal is the best hope we have. He's making new friends in Iowa, and is spreading the conservative message. Send Governor Jindal a letter and tell him to run for president.

Jindal turned down VP vetting

http://www.nola.com/news/index.ssf/2008/11/governor_bobby_jindal_says_he.html

It was disclosed earlier this week that Governor Jindal refused VP vetting. A smart move for Jindal. The article really is a must read.

Jindal has been vocal in discussing what he believes caused voters to repudiate his party at the polls and what it will take to win back favor with the American people. He has said party officials in Washington became too tolerant of pork-barrel spending and corruption, and failed to introduce new ideas into the political discourse.

Huckabee backs former campaign manager

Chip Saltsman if you remember helped Governor Huckabee launch himself into the top tier of candidates. He can largely be credited for the Huckaboom. No doubt his strategy helped Huckabee, but can he take the GOP back to prominence?

What really concerns me is that Huckabee had a populous message during his primary run. Would that be Chip's position for the GOP.

Romney seeks to help the ailing GOP

Mitt is really trying to build the party up. Of course this could be an effort to gain support for another run, but I believe he is more than anything sincerely trying to help the republicans hold Obama at bay.

Newt for GOP Chair

It's recently been released that Newt Gingrich is actively seeking the GOP chairmanship. I think he would be excellent. He presided over the 94' congressional victory. A lot of people have issues with him as far as his personal integrity goes. I don't think it would be a problem at all with regard to him being chairman. He is an excellent thinker, and I believe he would seek to expand the party without compromising our core beliefs and values.

UPDATE: Newt has now said he is not interested in the RNC chairmanship. So here is the question: What is really trying to do? My best guess is that Newt will help the republican party with the midterms in 2010 and then announce his bid for the presidency. I personally would rather have him as VP than as the presidential nominee. He is a policy wonk, and has extraordinary ideas. But I'm still not sure the public would accept him at the top of the ticket. No doubt the republican party could do much worse.

Bobby Jindal Bio

The below information is an excerpt from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Jindal

Piyush "Bobby" Jindal (born June 10, 1971) is the current Republican governor of the U.S. state of Louisiana.[1] Prior to his election as governor, he was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Louisiana's 1st congressional district, to which he was elected in 2004 to succeed current U.S. Senator David Vitter. Jindal was re-elected to Congress in the 2006 election with 88 percent of the vote.
On October 20, 2007, Jindal was elected governor of Louisiana, winning a four-way race with 54% of the vote. At age 36, Jindal became the youngest current governor in the United States. He also became the first non-white to serve as governor of Louisiana since Reconstruction, and the first elected Indian American governor in U.S. history.

Will He Run?

Will Bobby Jindal run for president in 2012? I think so. He's been in government service for over 13 years. He's currently the governor of Louisiana and is cleaning up the entire state, from corruption to hurricane aftermath. His conservative credentials are unprecedented. The buzz is already going, as everyone seems to think he is the future of the party. Come on Governor Jindal, what are you waiting for?
